A “how-to” on the installation of a set screw to capture the take down pin spring/detent on a AR-15 lower receiver. This modification secures the take down pin/spring so that you can easily remove the latch plate, castle nut, buffer tube without worrying about losing the spring or damaging it. A useful modification if you find yourself changing latch plates or buffer tubes frequently.
