The Nike Zoom Hyperflight was designed by designer Eric Avar in memory of the late Bill Bowerman. He designed the shoe as Bill would have, super light and with simplicity at the forefront. The Hyperflight draws inspiration from the silhouette of a track spike and Avar’s intent was to take the standard basketball shoe style and it strip down to the core function and parts.
