What is the purpose of marriage? Paul Washer explains that the purpose of marriage is not to fulfill selfish desires, but to glorify God.

Here’s a short poem by Youtube’s own Abalone Kid Chaim. He sent this to me after seeing this video and was gracious enough to allow me to post it here to share with you.

TO JACKIE AT CHRISTMAS 2006: MY LOVE FOR YOU

Through the majesty of the Savior
I glorify my love for you
    In the rush of winds
    And torrential rains
    In oceans pure
    The southern sky
    I see your face
    In little creatures
    The lush desert bloom
In the sunlight of my days
I hear your voice next to mine
    Through God’s love
I sanctify my love for you
    In towering redwoods
    The white crescent mountain peaks
    In ever-changing sands
And the movement of the sky
    I see your touch
    And remember

See note below this description for “smaller” tensioners, like the featherweight and 301 machines.
Disassembly and Re-assembly directions for Singer Vintage machine upper tensioners. This tutorial done ON machine. This works for many but not all tensioners. It depends on the thread take up spring. Works for most Singers up to the mid-60s at least, and with creativity should help you reassemble many other brands from the same era as well.

Note: The “2 setting” I mention toward the end of the video works for most full sized tensioners. For the smaller tensioners, like the 301 and the Featherweight, I find that the setting is full tight when the post is flush – between 9 and 10.
