SQUARE NUT:
A square nut is a four-sided nut. Compared to standard hex nuts, square nuts have a greater surface in contact with the part being fastened, and therefore provide greater resistance to loosening (though also greater resistance to tightening).

this is my Russian Made Saiga-12 12Gauge ,
Mods include 2 gas ports enlarged to .0925. Gas Puck turned down to fit into gas piston tube at one end. Lower bolt face relieved and polished to allow loading of magazine on a closed bolt. trigger slop and over travel eliminated by set screws and a tapco interfuse M4 style stock.
All Mods and gunsmithing done by me
The magazines used are: 1) an Aliance Armament 20 round drum 2) Promag 10 round magazine (not recommended) 3) factory 5 round.
Ammunition used was:
1)cheap winchester #7 1/2 shot lowbrass 2)cheap remington #7 1/2 low brass 3)cowboy black powder #6
the one hang up the drum has was on the first time it was ever fired and it was the only hang up in 200 rds
the promag 10 rd mag however has been less then reliable
