Shaft was named after the 1971 movie character Detective John Shaft. He was the SWEETEST dog. On his first day as his mom he got very sick and i gave him CPR and he was okay, but had an upper respiratory infection. I took him back to the breeder and when he went back in his cage with his sister he started playing. That is when we decided that his sister must become our family too. The 2 of them were inseparable until Sept 2015 when Foxy passed of an enlarged heart and water on her lungs. He also had a brother Zeus that passed in 2013, that he loved to torment by “looking at him”, it used to make Zeus nuts. He got another sister Daisy in 2005. He was very tolerant of her because she is always so crazy. He started “talking” very young and taught his sister Foxy how to talk, then taught his sister Daisy how to sing this past year. We all thought he wouldn’t make it very long after Foxy passed, but instead he bonded with Daisy and with me even stronger than we were before. I loved on him SSSOOO much, he always had to be touching someone (people or other dogs). His (and mine) favorite thing to do was to let me snuggle and squeeze him. He had the most beautiful face and i told him so every single day. I know you are supposed to love all your babies equally, but I cant help to have a very extra special love for Shaft.
