I scratched my head many times trying to figure out how to get the latch and knob apart on this era of door hardware but after an hour of trying every possible thing I finally got it. I just had to pass it on, how to get the door hardware apart on these old doors. Most door knobs have a hidden catch or clasp and aren’t too hard to find but this one took some time to figure out. Like anything, once you know how, it’s easy. And this is quite easy once you see how it comes apart.
