Work began in earnest this month to clean up the former Hoover Universal (Johnson Controls) zinc die cast parts manufacturing plant site at 232 Monroe Street, Saline, Michigan. The facility last ran production in the late-1980s. Nickel-chrome-plated parts for automotive and household applications were once made here.
