If you are an avid off road enthusiast, you probably already know that tow hooks are worth their weight in gold if your truck gets stuck in muck. There is a reason most four wheel drive trucks come straight from the factory with these hooks, and that is because they are the safest tool by which to tie tow lines when trying to rescue a truck from mud, snow or sand.
Here’s how to install tow hooks on your Ford F-150 or Super Duty truck.
This moderately easy job takes ten to thirty minutes and costs from $20 to $100 dollars. A professional may charge up to double that amount to install a tow hook.
This job requires a lug wrench, jack and jack stands, a 10 millimeter Allen wrench, safety goggles, a socket wrench, and a ¾ inch socket.
Step One – Jack up your truck and remove the front wheels
● With your truck on level ground and the parking brake set, loosen the lug nuts from both front wheels.
● Jack the front end of the truck up, place a jack stand under each axle, and remove the front wheels for more working room.
Step Two – Remove the front bumper cover
Find the bumper cover screws securing the cover and use the 10 millimeter allen wrench to remove them. Then remove the cover.
Step Three – Locate predrilled holes on the front of the chassis
● Lie under the front end of your truck to find the predrilled holes on bumper.
● Put the screw and a nut through the predrilled hole in the frame. Begin turning it right so it can go in, but don’t tighten it all the way just yet.
Step Four – Install the new tow hook
● Slide the tow hook under the bolt. Use a ¾ inch socket to tighten the bolts.
● Repeat the same process on the other side if you want to have two tow hooks in the front.
Step Five – Reinstall the bumper and wheels
● Reattach the front bumper cover over the hooks to the bumper frame.
● Reinstall the tires after lowering the front end off jack stands.

Hi I’m Jewels and welcome to in the tank with Korky. Today I will be your personal guide in showing you how to install the Korky QuietFILL complete repair kit. The first step is to shut off your water supply to your toilet by turning the valve clockwise. Flush your toilet to get rid of excess water in the toilet. Place a bucket or pale under the toilet tank to catch the excess water from the supply line and toilet tank. Next, sponge out the remaining water in the toilet tank. Disconnect the water supply line … and unscrew the mounting nut. Pull up on the old valve and lift out of the toilet tank. Locate and remove all old nuts, washers, and bolts from the toilet tank. Carefully lift up on the tank and remove from the bowl. Remove the old tank to bowl sponge gasket. With a large wrench remove the old mounting nut and pull the old flush valve and flapper out of the toilet tank. Discard all removed components. Place your new Korky flush valve into the toilet tank and slide the chipboard washer over the threads, hand tighten the mountin nut. Place the new red sponge gasket over the mounting nut threads. Carefully set the tank onto the bowl. Using the new bolts, rubber washers, washers and hex nuts included in the packaging, attach the tank to the bowl while applying downward pressure to keep the tank level. Tighten the bolts in an alternating fashion to ensure a proper seal on the red sponge gasket. Do not over tighten the bolts, doing so may cause the porcelain to crack. Next, set the height of the flush valve. Loosen the lock nut and extend the overflow tube until the top of the overflow tube is one inch below the flush lever nut and hand tighten the locknut. Pull out the valve, place into your toilet tank. To adjust the height, push down until the fill valve water line and tank water line match. Remove toilet fill valve, lock the fill valve in place by simply twisting the upper half clockwise. As a double check, make sure the grooves match up with the pegs. Place the Korky Quietfill toilet Fill Valve into your toilet tank and hand tighten the mounting nut. Insert the metal clip on one end of the refill tube and attach onto the overflow tube. Then install the opposite end to the fill valve. If kinking occurs, simply cut the refill tube with a scissors to shorten the overall length. Attach the flapper chain to the flush lever hole most directly above the flapper with minimal chain slack. Reconnect the water supply line. Then turn on the water supply line by turning the valve counter clockwise until fully open.
