Compx is a comprehensive supplier of all things cam locks.
They’re exhaustive in their product offering, if there is a cam lock application they’ve got the solution.
The -3 means this is polished brass.
Along with the cylinder comes the housing, and then a trim ring (should it become necessary).
Two keys are included (#415).
This is called a disc tumbler because these discs are flush when the key is full inserted, when you take the key out they are not.
Only when they’re in the condition of flush is when you can operate the lock.
Two tail pieces are included.
Overall length of the flat tail piece is an 1-13/16″, overall width is 5/8″.
Overall length of the offset is 1-1/2″, width is 5/8″.
The offset from the outside is about a 1/2″ (measured from the backside to the front side).
You may want to allow an 1/8″ if that margin is important to you.
Three little plastic spacers are included.
Screw to hold the tail piece onto the back of the cylinder is included.
A ‘T’ washer is included.
Washer will prevent the cylinder from rotating.
Nut holds it on securely.
Overall length of the cylinder with the tail piece is (underside of the head to the backside of the cylinder body) 1-3/16″.
