    use these 3 tips to help you put the weld metal up on the piece…not down your collar.
    for stick welding overhead, you need to have the machine set just about as hot as if you were welding flat.

    electrode angle matters too, and keep a tight arc.
    in this video, i used 3/32″ lincoln excalibur 7018 welding rods as well as some cheap techniweld 1/8″ 7018 rods.

    I think the lincoln excalibur 7018 rods are superior for overhead welding and pretty much anything else.
