This video is to bring you a closer look at the Trimco 1069L Privacy Function Sliding Door Pull
This is in the stainless steel finish
Available in different finishes in the website
There is this unit, a strike plate, a dust box, an Allen wrench, two set screws, two screws for the strike plate, and four drywall screws in the box
You will need to install one of the set screws into the one of the two small holes in the bottom
When threaded all the way in it will project into the hole in the back
It will thus limit how far the locking body can travel
The body will always stay straight but the handle is what gets knocked up and down
If you install the set screw into the top of the two holes it will have an inverse affect
To mortise the body into a 1 3/4″ door you will make a 5″ cut across the entire edge of the door
Mortise this 5/16″ deep for the body so it fits in
The plate dimension itself is 1/8″
This means that you will have to mortise in two steps to accommodate these dimensions
Have the body installed flush first and then mortise the outside perimeter so that the edge of the door will be flush with the edge of the pull handle itself
As soon as the handle is moved the latch will retract back in
After the face plates are machined the only other thing you really have to do is mortise
Additional cutout in the edge for your operation to work
Very easy to do but takes a lot of time to set up
Is the only true ADA compliant privacy function sliding door pull on the market
Has black plastic finish handles on the edge of the stainless steel plate
The set screw must by placed in either the top or the bottom screws hole depending on which way you want the assembly to work
