This video is to bring you a closer look at the Bradley 9334 towel ring. It is in a satin stainless steel finish as you can see. It’s a traditional towel ring, something that you’re going to see in motel/hotel rooms, probably not middle of the road sort of applications commercial sort of applications like that. Inexpensive towel ring, it’s all stainless steel in a satin finish, there’s a magnet and there’s nothing there. There is a link below this video to the technical data which is really nothing other than link to a product brochure which shows this and its sister related products but then also a link to the instructions and the instructions are very straight forward, you know they give you dimensions of the unit, we’ll go over that stuff now, we’re not going to go over all the points but the assecution pad itself is very typical in that it is 2″ by 2″, its projection is 2-3/8. They give an overall height of the ring itself at 4-3/8, and this is coming in, looks like to me it’s coming in at 4-1/4 with an overall width of 4-7/8, just under 5″, yeah may be the case. The mounting of this is a very typical sort of situation where you’ve got a wall clip and that is held in with that slotted set screw that’s there so if you get a small screw driver and remove that out that wall clip is going to come out. You’re going to attach that to a wall and keep in mind the requirements for ADA compliance, your mount and height. Be sure to review that early before you go attaching this, you don’t want to attach them in the incorrect location. There are actually two screws that are included which is nice. So, once you get the wall bracket attached to the wall those two little fingers there at the top their going to hook into the shoulders of the “T” assembly that you see there, just like that, and once they hook in its secured to the wall even without tightening that set screw. And once you go about tightening the set screw your installation at that point is going to all but complete. Good quality item by Bradley, Bradley is a full line manufacturer of all things commercial restroom related and after you tighten that it’s nice and tight, it’s a good deal. That ring does not come out because of the slotted sort of application that they’ve got there with a couple of wings that are milled into the back of the bracket, and if you watched what I did there, the only way you can get that ring off of there is by rotating it this way, and once it’s installed it will never get that, it’s vandal resistant at that point. Good quality company, Bradley. Their material is of good fit and finish, sometimes they’re a bit long because a lot of what they sell, I think, is made to order combined with a minimum order policy but good quality company, it’s a pleasure being a representative for them. It’s all too common in criminal cases to encounter junk science masquerading as forensics. The consequences can be egregious: innocent people sent to prison while perpetrators remain free.

At this Latham & Watkins Forum, Washington Post writer Radley Balko and Mississippi law professor Tucker Carrington discussed their recently published book, The Cadaver King and the Country Dentist: A True Story of Injustice in the American South.

Balko and Carrington were joined by Bennett Capers, law professor at Brooklyn Law School, where they discussed concerns about junk science in the criminal justice system around the country. The panel was moderated by NYU School of Law professor Erin Murphy.
