Stop Chassis Distortion. Mustangs, being a unibody design, are renown for having terribly weak and easy to twist frames. This flexing and twisting will not only affect the handling and performance of your 1979 to 2004 Mustang, but it will also hamper your 0-to-60mph time on the dragstrip, not to mention reduce your confidence in high-speed cornering and aggressive driving. SR Performance Full-Length Subframe Connectors address this common issue with Mustangs and significantly strengthen the chassis of your Mustang. Connecting the front subframe to the rear via high strength boxed steel, SR Performance subframe connectors are a must have on any Mustang from 1979-2004, as the factory bracing is insufficient even at stock power levels.
Heavy-Duty Construction. The SR Performance Full-Length Subframe Connectors are made from heavy duty boxed steel, 2″x1″ and with a wall thickness of 0.114″. They are intended to be welded in place, which makes them significantly stronger and rigid versus a bolt-on competitors. Each subframe connector is finished with a heavy coat of black powder coat to keep them effecticely sealed from the elements and prevent corrosion.
Weld-in Installation Required. Unlike traditional bolt-on subframe connectors that get loose over time, the SR Performance Full-Length Subframe Connectors are welded in place to deliver better performance and eliminate chassis flex to the maximum degree possible. In this case, professional installation is recommended as proper alignment and solid welds are paramount to the performance of these connectors.
