To take the top off your bronco is actually pretty easy, but I know the first time I did it I was pretty nervous that is was going to be difficult and take a long time. It only takes me about 10 minutes but there are a couple tricks I do.
I only put in 4 bolts to hold my top on in the back. And I put the bolts in the spots that are easy to get to along the bed rail. Then I just take my 1/2 inch wrench and slide it over the nut under the rail, the take my 1/2 inch socket and loosen the bolt.
There are 7 bolts along the windshield but I only keep two in there for summer and those are really easy to get to.
Then what I’ve done is taken two 2x4s and added a couple eye bolts to the ends. Then I slide the 2x4s under the top. The top isn’t super heavy and I can lift it with my back and slide the 2×4 in.
I’ve also put 4 eye bolts into the studs. Make sure you get these in the studs not just in the drywall. Then I take my ratcheting straps. Hook one end to the bolt in the ceiling and the other to the bolt on the wood. And ratchet it until it’s tight.

This custom Bach Stradivarius ML 37 SN# 151180 was custom modified by legendary studio trumpeter Charly Davis. There is not a dent, scratch, ding, or trauma, on this horn. Originally manufactured around 1977 You got to play this horn to believe!!!! Charly acquired the valve section from another manufacturer who was using the valve section to try out different Lead-pipe and Bell combinations.this valve section was never hardly played. The ports in the valves are still brass colored , not tarnished from use. Charly had a silver 25 lead-pipe drawn and mounted it to the trumpet.. He also acquired an older finger hook for that vintage sculpted look. The 3rd valve slide now has a stop screw instead of that awkward bar and nuts that Bach uses on the Bb’s. He also copied the all metal top caps from a friends 1928 NY Bach Strad. Because of the two different top cap and finger button combinations the horn has received 2 Reeves valve alignments. There are also many extras for the performer to fine tune this incredible instrument. Here’s a list: 1.Gold Plated Bach Stradivarius model 37 ML 2. 3 Tuning slides all gold plated: a. Two Reeves valve alignments, one for each set of top caps: a. standard Bach top caps, stem and finger buttons(Reeves valve alignment) b.Extra top caps duplicated from 1928 Bach with gold plated stems and flat finger tips (with reeves valve alignment) 7.
