https://www.AimFlagstaff.com One method we use to get under driveways and sidewalks. You can use a modified version with steel pipe.

Since we are a licensed contractor, we have purchased this tool and use it all the time. You can possibly rent it, if you live in the USA and are near a rental center. Sorry, I don’t have any information on where to rent them.

Basically, the tool is a series of modified steel rods that have a female threaded end and a male threaded end that are four foot in length. There is a high caliber superfragilistic point that is screwed onto one end to pierce thru dirt, rock, concrete and anything else that gets in the way. The end used too propel the superfragilistic point is a mushroom end that protects the threaded ends of the pipe.

So, thread on the point, insert the mushroom end to your rod, dig a trench, dig out an spot where you think the point will come out and get to work. As you get to end of you four foot rod, then take off the mushroom end and thread on a new rod. Move the mushroom end to the end of the new pipe you just threaded on and start smashing. Enjoy dong this until the superfragilistic point has popped out the other side.

Once the point is exposed. Thread it off.

If your soil is firm and won’t collapse, then pull out the tool and insert your pipe. We do not recommend doing this. Instead, you should attach the pipe to the rod. As you pull the tool out, then the pipe will follow the tool thru the hole. When the pipe has emerged on the other side of the sidewalk or driveway, then you are nearly done.

    Enjoy the Music!!!!!
