Simple how to: Fiat Punto oil & filter change
Easy DIY how to: draining and refilling oil and changing oil filter on a Fiat Punto (Mk2 and others).
You will need:
* Jack & axle stands, ramps, or some other safe way of getting under the car. Do not use the vehicle’s spare wheel jack.
* Oil, preferred viscosity is 10w40 for most environments. The Fiat specification is semi-synth. Amazon links:

* Replacement filter of the correct type and size. The easiest way to find the right size is to quote the vehicle to the merchant. OEM spec / quality preferred. Amazon links:

* 12 mm hex key and cheat bar (you can use the wheel nut wrench from the spare wheel well), or 12 mm hex bit with a socket wrench.
* Oil filter wrench. Needs to be a thin band type if an all-the-way-round ring style; otherwise plier style. Thick chain wrap or similar will not fit.
* Rags.
* Oil tray to drain old oil.
* Container in which to dispose of old oil.
* Funnel.
