The Black Phantom is complete minus a broken steering servo that is on order. Here is a general list of parts ultimately used :

5×11 ball bearings = boca green seal in the gearboxes, chinese abec 5 (ebay) in the axle carriers (no difference in my
opinion).
rear bumper = from a parts nikko megatron
antenna tube = duratrax 2415
gear lube = tamiya ceramic grease (small tubes) obtained from ebay (no
part number)
steering servo on order = futaba s9402 (used ebay). I’m not going with an s3305 due to slower speed. I have a hobby people A50M that I will try if the s9402 doesn’t work out. I’ll just have to see what works the best. I’ll post an update as soon as I can.

As of 3/5/2012 – The futaba S9402 servo worked out fine, however, one of the steering rods was bent slightly during an unfortunate crash on the test run. I installed rear oil damper shocks (85mm) and had a matching set for the front but the front ones (65mm) ended up being too short so for the front I will probably try 70mm. I don’t know if 70mm will be long enough for the front though. I’ll have to see what happens when they come in. I will post a review of the steering mods and shocks as well as a run video when I get another steering rod cut and the front shocks arrive and hopefully they will work out.
