Alright, today on this old trailer, were gonna replace an axle. The axle were replacing is whats called a mobile home axle and were replacing it with a very similar axle thats called a UGT axle. Theyre gonna be identical on the outside of the mobile home axle but the brakes and sometimes the bearings are a little bit different on the inside. To start off our replacement, were gonna remove the old axle. We got our trailer up in the air and we can easily remove the two u-bolts here and here. We can see that the axle is sitting up on the top of the spring; well go ahead and loosen this bolt as well.
