This brief video demonstrates the steps involve in disassembly of the amadinda. A key point here, as mentioned in the video, is to only first slide back the carriage bolts on the first end to be removed. Although not entirely critical, this prevents the last stanchion to be removed from falling either forward or backward while working on the first end and provides stability that will greatly simplifiy the disassembly process. Once the first end is removed, slide the carriage bolts on the remaining stanchion back enough to clear the crosspieces and remove that stanchion. I recommend always leaving the crosspieces bolted together for storage or transport. If they are detached from each other and subsequently re-attached with an outside face toward the other crosspiece’s inside, confusion will result. However, I have penciled an “X” at the center inner face of each crosspiece to assist their correct reassembly if this happens.
