How to Install Westin Sure Grip Running Boards
    Video Transcript:

Hello, everybody. Shawn here, with RealTruck.com. Today we’re installing a set of Westin Sure Grip Running Boards onto a 2006 Ford Explorer.

Here at RealTruck, we offer the mounting kit with the boards, making the ordering process easy for you. Here’s all-included hardware: The 6 board mounts, 2 running boards, as well as all nuts, bolts, and other hardware.

First, locate the pair of holes on the bottom of the rocker panel. Find the square hole next to the round one, and install the extruded U-nuts. Once the front, center, and rear U-nuts are in place, go ahead and start adding the brackets; bolting the innermost hole first, and doubling-back to do the outer hole. Make sure to leave everything loose for the running board placement. Insert the square-head bolts, as shown. Add 3 per slot and 6 per board. Then simply add the boards to the mounts, lining the holes up with the bolts. Insert the protective plastic piece into the inner slide of the running board.

Next, go ahead and add your washers, as well as all lock nuts. Then of course, go ahead and tighten everything down. Get one side complete, and then go ahead and repeat the exact same process on the other side.

Once complete, you have yourself a set of boards that will add the step you need, as well as the sleek appearance you want.
