This is a coin ring center punch used to punch out a hole in the exact middle of a coin for the purpose of making it into a ring. It has three different sized punches: 1/2″, 7/16″, and 3/8″. The top screws down to prevent the coin from moving and uncentering itself when you whack the punch. Both the body and cap are knurled to give you grip while tightening and un-tightening the cap.
Unfortunately, the gentleman that made these for me died shortly after making them and I haven’t found someone else to make them. I sold four out of five (I kept one for myself) and have no more to sell.
***Update 12-27-14*** If you’d like to purchase a punch, go to jasonworks.etsy.com. I sold one of my punches to Jason and apparently he has improved the design and is selling them. I’ve not seen the punch myself but Jason seems like an honest guy so check him out. Also, check out his step by step guide on how to make coin rings. I’ve seen it and it’s impressive.
