While replacing an idler sprocket on a round baler, the bolt specified was a 5/8 inch diameter carriage bolt with threads and no shoulder. The bearing inside diameter was measured at 17mm, so the bolt was a loose fit and allowed the sprocket to rock back and forth….which possibly lead to the original bearing failure. I made a carriage bolt with a shoulder to fit the bearing.
