Last fish plate to be fitted connecting the Welsh Highland Railway to the Ffestiniog Railway at Porthmadoc, on 28th February 2009…. the track is now completed… “gold” coloured bolts were used (brass) to clamp the fishplates on, but at the end of the day they were removed and steel bolts fitted.
