I have a trick that has been around for a long time. This is a trick we used to use for exhaust manifolds when the bolts were so rusted in that breaking a bolt was very likely to happen. To avoid having to remove the stud in a separate process we used this trick to get them loose. This works better with a fair amount of heat to start and then let the wax slowly cool for about 3-4 minutes before attempting to remove the bolt of nut.
This video goes over the replacement of the front driver wheel bearing on a 2004 Vue.
Hub assembly to steering knuckle doesn’t need to be as tight at the caliper bracket bolts. I could not find the torque but I believe its about 90 foot pounds.
Axle nut torque: 151 foot pounds.
Lug nut torque: 100 foot pounds.
This should be a fairly straight forward job, I was unlucky and had to fight the hub with a hammer for a while. I couldn’t get the swing I wanted at first. Than I started to turn one way than the other and was barely able to get a good swing from the front. I’m sure with a lift you would have no problem finding a good angle.
