In this video I take a look at the Augvape MTL RTA sent in by Augvape for looking at.
It’s a small tank with a capacity of 3ml made from stainless (mine is black), comes with spare glass tank, allan key, bag of washers, grub screws, stainless MTL drip tip, wide bore drip tip, a single coil and some air flow control plugs.
I found it way too fiddly to use with the air flow control ring not attached to the main tank so it comes off easy, the washers then get caught in the ring dead easy. The top filling mechanism is also fiddly to use because there’s almost nothing to hold on to in order to unscrew the top cap meaning the tank starts to come apart again.
It’s got an awful lot of air flow control options including the ‘normal’ air flow control ring but it also has 4 additional plugs that screw in the centre air hole which effectively narrows it making the draw tighter, you then also have 4 tiny grub screws that are in the post and this too allows additional air in the system – that’s three different combinations of air flow control which for me is way overkill.
It gave a good tight draw for MTL on the single coil and air flow control turned fully closed. It can be used for direct to lung with the default air hole (3.5mm) and the air flow ring fully open.
Flavour was good though but priced at around £27 in the UK I reckon it’s a little pricey.
