A Tek ® 5 screw is a self drilling screw, much like a sheet metal screw, with the point being shaped like a drill tip and is treaded from the tip to the head. The drill point of a Tek ® 5 screw with a hex head is longer than an average Tek ® screw with a hex head. Tek ® 5 screws have many uses included in metal decking, roofing, etc.
Our Tek ® 5 screws come in a wide variety. They are available with a special rust proof coating or in 410 hard stainless steel. We stock #12 and #14 diameter Tek ® 5 screws. These are available up to 8 inches long. A Tek ® 5 screw will drill through a half-inch of steel.
