Yemin Moshe garden is located next to the Yemin Moshe neighborhoods which is one of the first Jewish neighborhoods in jerusalem that were established outside the old city walls. It was founded in 1891 by British Jewish banker and philanthropist Sir Moses (Moshe) Montefiore who also built the Jewish neighborhood of Mishkenot Sha’ananim in 1857 and its windmill.
