It’s been months since I have had a functioning soft top. This was definitely a design flaw on BMW’s part, allowing water to be anywhere near the motor that powers the hydraulic soft top. All in all, it only costed me $160 for parts, instead of $1600-2000 estimate from the BMW dealership.
