El perno conector N’akron es un elemento metálico, cilíndrico con cabeza que va soldado al perfil actuando como anclaje en el hormigón frente a los esfuerzos de tracción, transmitiendo esfuerzos por adherencia o por presiones de contacto según la tipología constructiva. Solidarizando así el acero y el hormigón en una pieza mixta.
La rápida fijación de los conectores, tanto en el taller como en la obra reduce de tres a cuatro veces el tiempo de colocación con respecto a una soldadura manual y por tanto los costos de instalación.
Los pernos auto-soldables eliminan todos los problemas relativos a la perforación de elementos estructurales, al debilitamiento de las piezas a trabajar y al sellado de las perforaciones evitando así filtraciones.

– garantizar la unión entre la cabeza del hormigón y el perfil metálico sin tener en cuenta otros factores como adherencia, rozamiento, etc., cuya posible pérdida también podría originar rotura frágil;
– permitir la aplicación de cargas directas sobre el elemento metálico sin peligro de despegue entre hormigón y acero;
– evitar que la conexión quede íntegramente en la posible zona de hormigón traccionado, ya que su función quedaría disminuida por la fisuración
– asegurar la capacidad de transmisión ante una posible inversión en el signo de los esfuerzos rasantes;
– establecer la adecuada correlación entre el cálculo y el comportamiento de la pieza durante el proceso resistente.
