    Could someone tell me how to fix this or if i can do it at home, im trying to avoid the dealer. The gears work after it goes into that limp mode system, whatever its called. The main problem is that the car is terribly slow.

    Apparently many different things can cause this. Unfortunately for me it turned out my band was worn and i had to replace the gearbox :( But for some people doing a full flush, refilling with proper oil and new filters has fixed the problem.
