Machine screws (stove bolts) have machine threads for use with a nut or for use in a tapped hole, and are also referred to as a stove bolt. Machine screws are fasteners used to secure metal parts together. Often used with nuts or wingnuts, they are available in short shaft lengths, and commonly have blunt ends that can be screwed into tapped or predrilled holes.
Machine screws securely fasten metal panels on industrial equipment, machines and electronics. Select from a large selection of machine screws at DuraFasteners.

AR’s aren’t my usual thing, but I learned a trick or two for this job and wanted to pass it on. I drill the sight, ream the holes and install the pins. Use a #31 drill bit to drill the hole then ream it up to size.
