Forgefix manufacture a wide range of screws and fixings that are used in many areas of the construction industry. This 1,500 piece set of the popular single threaded screws provides a wide range selection of some of the most commonly used sizes around the worksite or home.
Whether you are a builder, fitter or DIY’er, this professional set would cover a wide variety of your needs, and it is supplied in a high quality organiser case with removable compartments.
Single threaded screws are suitable for use with many materials including PVCu, timber, chipboard, plywood and similar materials. They are especially useful if you are working with chipboard, furniture board or similar materials which have been constructed with small, bonded particles. This is because the single thread holds the material much more securely than a twin threaded screw, which can often ‘strip’ the material at the final tightening stage and become loose. They are also quicker to insert than twin threaded screws. The yellow finish is due to the Zinc Passivation process which offers excellent resistance to corrosion. All the screws in this set have a traditional countersunk head which is designed to finish the screw flush with the material you are screwing to leave a smooth surface finish.
This set is also supplied with 5 x 2pt Pozidriv screwdriver bits.
