I decided to make a couple of square head bolts for the clamp bolts on the stop instead of using commercial socket head cap screws. This video covers order of operations, working with multiple parts and turning and threading the shank. The next video will cover the work on the head, including cutting a radiused bottom groove, a large spherical radius on the ends and squaring the heads. I’ll also show how to heat treat the bolts to Rc60 to make them stronger and more durable.

Machines for the production of self-supporting roof system
Compared to traditional roof cladding the self-supporting metallic cladding is an innovative and unusual system.
It is composed of profiled steel sheets joined to each other, with special bolts, fitted with steel and rubber washers. These sheets are fixed to the supporting structure through a steel saddle that fits snugly into the sheet profile, creating a hinged bracket.
This system was developed in order to get an isostatic structure.
The sheeting works as a metallic shell with a complex configuration, keeping simultaneously structural and coating structures.
By its geometric shape and steel, it manages to achieve a high resistance, which allows to win over spans with 30 meters without any need of a resistant support.
Profile AFUL 950 is produced from sheet steel with the same characteristics as SABS 1431 JR 300W steel, as noted below. The galvanizing is 40 microns (275 g/m2) thick on both sides of the sheet. A final coat of hardened rein (epoxy) is applied, 25 and 10 microns thick on the exterior and interior faces respectively.
