This video will take you through installation of the PWS MOD 2 Enhanced Buffer Tube and Ratchet Lock Castle Nut End Plate Set.

    - The PWS Buffer Tube should be installed by a professional. PWS will not refund or replace buffer tubes damaged by improper installation.

    - Thread the castle nut onto the buffer tube with the wrench tabs oriented rearward until it stops at the bottom of the threads.

    - Slide on the locking plate lining up the tab with the channel cut on the underside of the buffer tube. Be sure the PWS logo is facing the castle nut.

    - Thread the buffer tube into lower receiver so that the buffer detent and spring can still pass by the end and into position.

    - Depress the buffer detent to allow the buffer tube to rotate into installed position.

    - Install takedown detent and spring.

    - Slide the locking plate forward into position while pushing in the takedown detent spring. Ensure the spring has depressed into the hole and is not bent under the locking plate.

    - While holding the buffer tube firmly by hand to prevent rotation/slippage of the tube, hand tighten the castle nut until it stops against the ratchet lock detent on the locking plate. Check to ensure that the end plate is firmly seated against the receiver; there should be no gap. If a gap is present, lightly tap and seat the end plate with a plastic hammer.

    - Use a castle nut wrench on the castle nut to finish tightening, while still maintaining position of the tube with your hand. Listen for the ratchet lock system to engage to ensure a solid attachment. Continue tightening until the buffer tube will not easily rotate when twisted with one hand. From slight buffer tube rotation to fully tightened will be about two clicks of the ratchet lock system. Any attempt to tighten beyond this may result in damage to the buffer tube threads.

    - Install butt stock over the buffer tube and insert the buffer spring and buffer. The buffer detent should engage the buffer for retention.
