On June 10, 2004, my steering failed on I-93, while driving from New Hamshire to Massachusetts causing me to crash into the guardrail. I filed a complaint with the NHTSA and called GM, who informed me that because I was no longer the owner of a GM vehicle, they would not talk to me. Notably, “88 -91 WERE ALL RECALLED FOR SEPARATION OF THE STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT FROM THE STEERING GEAR AS A RESULT OF CORROSION OF 2 BOLTS WHERE ROAD SALT USE IS HIGH, INCLUDING IN MASSACHUSETTS.”
