The handles have been ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in your hand and provide optimum grip so that you can exert the maximum amount of force (torque) when tightening or undoing screws. If you were to squeeze a stress ball, large lump of plasticine or dough in your hand, when you release it you would be left with the shape of the handle design on these screwdrivers. The handles have a bi-material grip where the yellow panels provide extra grip in the areas you need.
This is a set of VDE tested screwdrivers which are generally used by professional Electricians as they meet all of the relevant safety standards and are individually tested to 1,000 volts. The red protective material on the handle extends right along the blade to the tip of the screwdrivers so that virtually all metal areas are covered.
The tips have been correctly hardened so as not to damage the screw head and to provide a long service life. An added feature on these top of the range screwdrivers is the ‘Slip-Stop’ tips. They have precision angled laser cut grooves in the tips which grip the screw head when you are tightening or undoing a fixing. This feature enables the screwdriver to grip the head of the screw or fixing when pressure is exerted and greatly reduces the risk of the screwdriver slipping out of the screw and rounding the head or causing damage to the surrounding work piece.
This 6 piece set includes a selection of 4 Slotted tip screwdrivers and 2 Phillips tip (which can also be used on Pozidriv screws) screwdrivers. In addition to these, there are 2 screw grippers in the set. These provide a real benefit when you are working overhead or are having to stretch to put a screw in. The screw grippers slide over the shaft of the screwdriver until the sprung loaded jaws are almost level with the tip. You then place the screw between the jaws and slide it up so that tip of the screwdriver is in the end of the screw. This holds the screw and you are able to start screwdriving without the screw falling off the end of the screwdriver. When you are tightening the last few turns of the screw, the jaws of the screw gripper automatically open and release the screw so that you can drive it home flush with the surface.
