This video shows several strength tests of the Wave Bolt, the best glue-in rock climbing anchor available.
The patent-pending Wave Bolt is the best glue-in rock climbing anchor available, offering tremendous shear and pullout resistance and ease-of-use not found in other designs. It is the only anchor on the market that combines the strength of glue-ins with the convenience of mechanical bolts. To resist pull-out failure, other glue-in designs rely on the glue hardening around the exterior contours of the rod. The unique design of the Wave Bolt however allows the glue to encase the exterior and interior of the bolt, truly locking the bolt within the glue, resulting in significantly higher pull test results than other brands. Because the Wave Bolt is also tapered, even in vertical placements it will not slide out of the hole – like other bolts do – prior to the glue hardening. This means the route developer does not need to waste time sitting and physically holding the bolt in place, or putting epoxy or tape over the bolt while the glue cures; just place the Wave Bolt and move on the next hole!

Unsurpassed visibility and operator comfort are provided by the KBR 925 Ballast Regulator by utilizing a rear-mounted engine, operator’s cab with unique window placement, and joystick controls as standard. Cab headroom is greatly improved due to the clean roof design with no components mounted onto the roof. The tilt-forward feature of the cab provides improved access to major components. Ballast profiling and track sweeping are performed using a powerful 240-horsepower engine. A fiberglass engine shroud is sound insulating and has large hinged doors for easy engine access. The heavy-duty plow incorporates a skid with brace, and air-operated locking pins that hold the plow blades into position. The plow blades are a bolt-on type for easy field replacement. The standard reversible broom incorporates an on-the-fly adjustable ballast deflector. The standard ballast wings each have a capacity of 1.5 yards, and may be furnished with optional articulated templates and variable width capabilities. Available with a BRUSHCUTTER attachment with the option of a rotary or saw head.
