Milwaukee Compact 8 in 1 Multi-Bit Driver 48-22-2320 Review, read full article here: https://www.aconcordcarpenter.com/milwaukee-compact-8-in-1-multi-bit-screw-driver.html

Milwaukee recently released a few interesting specialty and precision screw drivers. the one that caught my attention was the Milwaukee Compact 8 in 1 Multi Bit Screw Driver.

This driver was designed around user driven innovation. What’s that? User driven innovation means looking at and listening to the core users of a tool, analyzing the below points and engineering a tool to address them:

    Tool needs
Tool field application and performance, longevity
    How end-users use their tools
End-user frustration with tools or application
    Tool modifications

    Small Size Counts

This new driver was engineered to be durable, easy to operate and, most importantly, able to access tight access locations, fixtures and precision work. It includes 7 bit drivers, which are stored inside the handle, and the socket functions as a 1/4-inch nut driver. While Milwaukee touts this as an 8in1 tool, this driver can hold and, use any standard driving bit, further increasing its flexibility to solve problems in the field.

This driver measures 1.5 x 1.6 x 4.5 inches long and if you use a standard 1-inch bit you can reduce its size its length to 4-inches long. A simple twist ring on the driver shaft controls the direction of the durable, all metal ratchet mechanism. While using this driver I counted 20 ratchet clicks to turn the fastener bit 360 degrees one time, it is incredibly fast and easy to use.
    Bit Sizes:

All 7-bits on the 8 in 1 multi driver are chrome plated for marine grade rust protection and power tool compatible for use in drill or impact driver. The fastenersW have Hex shanks and a wrench can be applied to them for additional leverage.

The fastener sizes stored in the are compact 8IN1 handle are:

    (1) 1-1/2″ Phillips #1 Power Groove Bit
    (1) 1-1/2″ Phillips #2 Power Groove Bit
    (1) 1-1/2″ Slotted 1/16″ Power Groove Bit
    (1) 1-1/2″ Slotted 3/32″ Power Groove Bit
    (1) 1-1/2″ Square Recess #1 Power Groove Bit
    (1) 1-1/2″ Square Recess #2 Power Groove Bit
    (1) 1-1/2″ TORX® 15 Power Groove Bit

    Compact 8in1 Multi Bit Drivers

There are two models being made, one ratchets and one does not, they are:

    Compact 8in1 Ratchet Multi-Bit Driver (48-22-2320): 8 functions include PH #1, PH #2, SL ¼”, SL 3/16” SQ #1, SQ #2, TORX T15, and ¼” nut driver Available in November 2014

    Compact 8in1 Multi-Bit Driver (48-22-2120): 8 functions include PH #1, PH #2, SL ¼”, SL 3/16” SQ #1, SQ #2, TORX T15, and ¼” nut driver Available in February 2015

    A problem Solver:

The Milwaukee Compact 8 in 1 Multi Bit Ratchet Screw Driver, model# 48-22-2320 takes the place of the half dozen or so mini or squat screw drivers I keep in my tool box. This driver will hold any of the fasteners that I commonly use and easily fits into tight spaces where full size screwdrivers won’t. Milwaukee is clearly paying attention, are you?

Lindapter has launched its High Clamping Force (HCF) Hollo-Bolt, an enhanced version of its original expansion bolt for SHS, optimised for structural connections.

The Hollo-Bolt HCF is available as standard in sizes M16 and M20 and features Lindapter’s patented HCF mechanism that produces a typical clamping force three times higher than the same sized product without the mechanism. The increased clamping force results in a more secure connection.
