Turns out skis do have a mind of there own. I was filming my friend and his ski poped off and hit me in the nuts.

This is part of my custom Lulzbot Mini build and I wanted to show you how to install brass threaded inserts into your 3D printed parts to take them to the next level. These things are awesome!

    Threaded inserts

Just any standard stick type soldering iron will do using a pointed tip. Let the iron heat up use needle nose pliers to place the threaded insert on the tip with the knurled end of the insert towards the iron and the ribbed end toward your part. Let the insert heat up for about 3 seconds then easily center it on the hole and slowly press it in about 80 to 90% of the way then use my technique in the video to complete the install.
