first successful attempt at building a 3v dome very easy once you read the recipe correctly ! all made from scrap tubing and tek screws, struts a & b cut on a drop saw , the main jig was the drilling jig which ensures each set of holes is exactly the same on all struts, this is the most crucial consideration, and should not be attempted free hand ,as a few mm will make the whole process of building a nightmare, make a jig it’s well worth the extra effort,after a while you get quicker at doing the cutting drilling and flattening and the build is easy if you follow the coloured map provided at www.desert domes.com with each design, lots to play with and you can back engineer the domes also, using the options provided on the site,
