I’ve always wanted a snow plow for my scx10 so i put one together out of spare parts i had laying around. i will start with the brackets that hold the entire thing to the truck its self that set up is a 3 racing lift kit for the scx10, the bars that hold the A-arm to the brackets are old broken shock bars from a rustler i had to trim them a little so they would fit the way they do, then the A-arm that reaches out is the rear A-arm from a 2wd traxxas slash, then the knuckle that is attached to the winch hook is from a rustler vxl. i am not sure what size the nut and bolt that will eventually hold the 3 inch diameter pvc pipe as the plow. The nuts on the end of the shock arms are 3mm. i am using electrical tape to keep the shock arms from sliding out. the only testing i have done is what you see in this vid.
Before you say anything, we do get this question quite often, “Can you MIG weld Stainless Steel to Mild Steel?” The answer is yes, you can, but before doing so you should ask yourself why you are doing it.
Stainless Steel is normally used for its corrosion resistance, which mild Steel does not have.
