Camtree Cage for BMPCC with Top Handle / Case and Rods (only $135!):

    https://amzn.to/2n6b3dW

    UPDATE ON THIS ITEM:
I had to drill holes and screw up the metal on the side of the cage in order for my External Power and Trigger-cable to fit.
If you just want to use a Microphone, headphones and maybe HDMI for an external monitor you’ll be fine. But the top and bottom space is too small for the External Power and Trigger cable (which I use for my pistol grip).

    ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:
For anyone who’s interested in buying the Camtree Hunt Cage for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cam, here’s a little video demonstrating it’s parts.

This can be bought off eBay for $150. It comes with a ‘free’ case which is fine for carrying stuff around, but it’s far from the Pelicase quality you might expect. I did some cutting to the foam so the BMPCC + lens + cage would fit inside the box.

It looks very similar to Varavon’s cage for the BMPCC. Don’t know if this is the same company or just a rip off.

The only thing I dislike about this cage:
It’s quite “wobbly” on the side (see video). You might want to put in an extra screw on the side. Simply tightening the top and bottom screw won’t do the trick. Just the two screws won’t do the trick if you’re planning on using the cage for handheld shots!

It also comes with some clamps to secure your wires (Microphone, HDMI etc.) – not demonstrated in this video.

Filmed with a Panasonic GX8. No fancy editing.
Will post some videos of the GX8 soon!
