Easy DIY how to: draining and refilling oil and changing oil filter on a Volkswagen/Audi 1.4 TSI engine. The car featured is a 2011 Golf but the process applies generally.
You will need:
* Jack & axle stands, ramps, or some other safe way of getting under the car. Do not use the vehicle’s spare wheel jack.
* Oil, fully synthetic 5w30 of minimum standard A3/B4 or VW 502. Amazon links:

* Replacement filter of the correct type and size. The easiest way to find the right size is to quote the vehicle to the merchant. The Mahle filter featured is # OC 593/4. Amazon links:

* 19 mm or 3/4″ hex socket with bar and/or ratchet.
* Oil filter wrench of some kind.
* Rags.
* Oil tray to drain old oil.
* Container in which to dispose of old oil.
* Funnel.
* Ideally: torque wrench for tightening drain plug (30 Nm).
